The challenge
Sensitive documents are often shared through channels that make copying, extraction and uncontrolled redistribution easy. SEAL X explored a controlled workflow that separates document preparation from document consumption.
Approach
The system was designed as two applications with distinct responsibilities: a Composer for preparing protected documents and a Viewer for authorized access. The implementation explored AES-256 encryption, authenticated access, logging and restricted document handling.
What this project demonstrates
- Translating security objectives into product behaviour
- Working with encryption and authentication concepts in a usable workflow
- Designing separate trust boundaries for administrative and end-user actions
- Treating auditability and user experience as part of security
